How you can get started

Junior Achievement of Central Ohio - Newark Learning Center provides several ways that you can get involved whether you're someone looking to volunteer, part of a district or school looking for educational materials, or part of a business looking to help us expand the reach of our mission.

Spotlight JA of Central Ohio - Newark Learning Center

Students

JA BizTown

  Where: Our JA Facility
 Time Investment: Typically 6 hours

You'll be in an actual simulated city! You'll help guide students as they operate banks, manage restaurants, write checks, and vote for mayor, helping students connect the dots between what they learn in school and the real world.

JA Finance Park

  Where: Our JA Facility
 Time Investment: Typically 6 hours

You'll be in an actual simulated city! You'll help guide students through their assigned family scenario where they will visit many different businesses. They must purchase items to meet the needs of their family, such as insurance, clothing, transportation, housing, groceries, and childcare—without spending more than they earn.

JA Inspire is an experiential career-pathway program for high school students brought to life by our region’s employers. This program exposes students to central Ohio’s jobs, career opportunities, and education pathways.
